There is plenty to do in the immediate area. There are several spas, gyms and physical therapy centers within close proximity of Spanish Wells.

Some of Florida's best beaches are just a short drive from Spanish Wells. Barefoot Beach Preserve offers a great place to relax, swim in the surf, paddle a canoe through the back waters, or just enjoy a leisure walk along the nature trail... and Lover's Key State Park is a perfect place to cast a line from your fishing pole, or take a stroll along the water's edge.
There are also several places where you can rent a boat for a day or a half a day, and escape into the estuaries, where you can observe or photograph manatees, dolphins, osprey, and a host of other wildlife species, many of which are unique to this area.
If you're a joiner, you can get "plugged in" here! Southwest Florida is like none other, with its abundance of art galleries, frequency of art shows, and places like the Barbara B.
