While the Summer of 2006 has delivered quite a lot of rain to Spanish Wells and the surrounding area, as of yet we have had no hurricanes or tropical storms to adversely impact our community. Check back on this website for updates, in the event such a storm is announced between now and the end of this year's hurricane season. We will do our best to keep you informed of the impact of any such storms in our community.
August 2006 - Hurricane Ernesto was downgraded to Tropical Storm status, and weakened considerably before hitting Florida. Most of the storm's impact was east of Lee County. Except for the fact that we got about six inches of rain over a 48 hour period, Spanish Wells came through unscathed.

From time to time, major storms and hurricanes have impacted Southwest Florida. While the news covers the larger community, homeowners often are concerned about a storm's impact on their Spanish Wells properties. As a community service, we will attempt to publish information, including photos, during and immediately following any storms of significance.
Should you desire an update on your property following a storm in the future, don't hesitate to contact us, and we'll gladly check it out for you... including the posting of photos of YOUR property on a private page of our website, created specifically for you!
